In his role, Ranft will be responsible for significantly expanding the global customer base for Avi Networks’ breakthrough software-defined application services solutions. Ranft spent 10+ years with VMware, in London and New York in several roles including vice president, EMEA for SDDC (software-defined data center), network and security. Earlier at VMware, Ted was vice president worldwide global accounts, where he was a key contributor to the development of VMware’s global account program and its worldwide expansion. Before VMware, he held leadership roles at RSA, Inktomi, and INS. Most recently, Ranft served as senior vice president of Americas and worldwide strategic accounts for ServiceMax, where he drove the field service management software company’s go-to-market strategy.
